Long term insurance backed guarantees

Axter Ltd has an excellent reputation for design, bespoke specifications, product quality, site monitoring and their installer network thus ensuring clients receive a long lasting trouble free roof. To give further confidence to clients Axter has been providing long term, insurance backed guarantees for more than 25 years. In that time many millions of square metres of Axter products have been laid with not one recorded instance of product failure leading to water ingress.
Full details and sample documents are available from Axter Ltd but are summarised below.

All Axter's Guarantees / Warranties give cover against water ingress which has occurred or is likely to occur. In addition the opening / closing mechanism of Axter's rooflights are guaranteed for 10 years.

BRONZESHIELD Guarantee

Roof waterproofing materials as well as rooflights, smoke vents, access hatches, etc supplied by Axter Ltd and installed by an Axtershield Installer, in accordance with current norms and standards, are covered by the Bronzeshield Guarantee. In the event that water penetration has occurred or is likely to occur as a result of a manufacturing fault in one or more Axter products then Axter Ltd will by repair or replacement make good the waterproofing integrity of the roof structure. The time limit on a Bronzeshield Guarantee is normally 35 years for Axter's Wilotekt-Plus system, 25 years for systems incorporating the Alpa^®-mix binder, or 20 years for other waterproofing products.

GOLDSHIELD Guarantee

Axter's higher performance membranes, in particular those incorporating the third generation Alpa^® polymer binder together with insulation, when supplied by Axter and installed by an Axtershield Installer, are covered by the Goldshield Guarantee. In the event that water penetration has occurred or is likely to occur as a result of system design, a manufacturing defect in the product, or a workmanship error then Axter Ltd will, by replacement or repair, make good the waterproofing integrity of the roof structure. The time limit on a Goldshield Guarantee is normally 35 years for Axter's Wilotekt-Plus system, 25 years for systems incorporating the Alpa^®-mix binder, or 20 years for other waterproofing products.

PLATINUM Guarantee

Axter's high performance membranes, installed by an Axtershield Installer, are guaranteed to remain in a watertight condition for 25 years, for products incorporating the Alpa^® polymer binder, or 35 years in the case of the hot melt waterproofing WILOTEKT-PLUS. In the event that water penetration has occurred or is likely to occur as a result of system design, a manufacturing defect in the product, or a workmanship error, even if the installer is no longer trading, then Axter Ltd, at no cost to the Building Owner, will by replacement or repair make good the waterproofing integrity of the roof structure.
