Declarations of Performance |
||||
The Construction Products Regulation (CPR), which replaced the Construction Products Directive (CPD) on 1st July 2013, requires that manufacturers and others who place products onto the market within the EEC publish a Declaration of Performance (DoP) for all products covered by a Harmonised Standard (hEN) or a European Technical Assessment (ETA). The Performance Characteristics in the DoP are as defined in the hEN or the European Technical Agreement (ETAG), against which an ETA is assessed, meaning that the user can easily compare performance of different products. The DoP constitutes the key element in the functioning of the Internal Market for construction products by providing it with the necessary transparency and by establishing a clear system of allocation of the responsibilities between manufacturer and user. The manufacturer, by drawing up his DoP, assumes responsibility for the conformity of the construction product with the declared performance. On the basis of the information contained in the DoP, the user will decide to buy, amongst all the products available on the market, the one which is fit for the use he intends to give to such product and he assumes the full responsibility of this decision. Below are the DoP documents for products supplied by Axter within the UK which are covered by an hEN or an ETA.Paper copies are also available, on demand. |
